Public Works will carry out the annual spring flushing of the Village water distribution system between Monday, May 25 and Friday, June 5, 2026, generally between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Flushing removes mineral sediment from the water mains and is an important part of maintaining water quality.
During flushing you may notice:
- Temporary discolouration (a yellow or rusty tinge);
- Reduced water pressure for short periods.
If your water appears discoloured: run a cold tap (ideally an outside tap or bathtub) for 5–10 minutes until it clears. Avoid doing laundry while crews are working on your street — whites can stain.
Discoloured water during flushing is not a health risk. The drinking water system remains fully monitored and tested throughout.
