Due to extended hot, dry conditions, a total fire ban is in effect for the Village of Birchbay. All open-air burning, including campfires, is prohibited.

Mill Street culvert replacement begins June 22
Mill Street between Harbour Street and Cedar Lane will be closed to through traffic for approximately three weeks starting Monday, June 22.

Public Works will flush water mains across the Village between May 25 and June 5. You may notice temporary discolouration or reduced pressure.

Council has adopted the 2026 municipal budget, balancing infrastructure renewal with affordability. The average residential property will see an increase of about $7.10 per month.
