The Village of Birchbay is proud to launch our redesigned website.
The new birchbay.ca was rebuilt around one idea: you should find what you need in two clicks, on any device. Here's what's new:
- Task-first navigation — services are organized by what you want to do, not by which department does it;
- Accessible by design — the site meets WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards, with readable type, strong contrast, and full keyboard and screen-reader support;
- Faster everywhere — pages load in a fraction of a second, even on cottage-country cell coverage;
- News, notices, and alerts in one place — including the emergency banner you'll see at the top of the site when something needs your attention;
- All your old links still work — every page from the previous website redirects to its new home.
Village staff update this site directly — news, events, and notices are published the moment they're ready, without waiting on an outside vendor.
